Spring is finally here, although you wouldn’t know it by the dreary day we had. To celebrate I decided on a pastel..with a twist. I bought Sinful Color’s Zeus a while ago and haven’t had the chance to try it. It’s a pretty, dusty purple with pink shimmer. I did two coats of Gelous and then two coats of Zeus. I thought I’d give my dotting tools another go, this time with OPI’s Yoga-Get-This-Blue.
As much fun as subtle stamping mani’s are, I’ve come to the conclusion my favorite are the obnoxious ones. lol. I started with alternating Sinful Color’s Black on Black and Sinful Color’s Feeling Great on each finger. On the black nails I stamped a white zebra print using Konad’s special polish and on the pink I used Konad’s special black polish. Fun and obnoxious!
I started reorganizing my stash and found this holographic-ish glitter polish in one of my bins. Around Christmas I had bought a motorized nail buffer which came with a dryer, a few other tools and around 8 different polishes. Being a brand I never heard of and being lumped in with the other nail tools I kind of just wrote the polishes off. But this polish will definitely be used again! I don’t think it even has a name. The glitter is suspended in clear polish so I decided to layer it over Sinful Color’s Black on black. I’m thrilled with the outcome. It looks great in the sunlight!!
I’m not sure I captured all the colors of this. In different lights new colors show up.
I had all my polishes in tackle boxes, but they were all stacked on top of each other. It started to get annoying to get to the bottom bin. I’m in the middle of moving them to one of the drawers in our spare bedroom’s dresser.
I also just purchased a set of Red Angel image plates and a set of dotting tools, I can’t wait to get them. I’ll be tracking them every step of the way…because I’m inpatient like that.
I apologize for not posting a new mani last night, but my husband and I had an awesome night out. A local Italian restaurant had a handmade ravioli and wine paring demonstration, it was sooo much fun. Anyway for tonight’s manicure I decided to finally use Wet N’ Wild’s Greys Anatomy. I tried it on one nail when I first bought it but never used it completely. Its a purpley silver with green tones, beautiful in the bottle but so sheer on its own so I put 3 coats over Sinful Color’s Black on Black. Then I used Konad’s plate m69 and Sally Hansen’s Celeb City for the stamping. It was the first time I used it for stamping and I’m very happy with the results! I finished it off with my usual two coats of Essie’s To Dry For.
I’m quite excited about the manicure I did tonight. It was one of the more time consuming ones, but I still love it! I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Beautiful Girl, such a pretty cream light pink.
Then I used a makeup sponge to achieve the gradient look using Sally Hansen’s Rose Rush for the middle, then using the sponge again I used Milani’s Cherry Pie for the tip.
On our way to my parents house for Super Bowl we stopped at Walgreens…yay! Since it was a different store then the one I normally go to they had a few different Sinful Colors. I picked up two new ones, Cinderella and Glass Pink. Cinderella is a light blue with a gold shimmer, maybe even a little pink shimmer in there. It really isn’t like anything I have in my collection. Since then shimmer is so pretty I didn’t konad over it. I couldn’t wait to try it, so in between eating wings and watching the game I was able to fit this mani in. Here is Cinderella, its 3 coats.
Eeekk, sorry for the reddish cuticles, Sinful’s Sugar Sugar was a bit of a pain to take off.
I haven’t done a really girly manicure in a while so this morning I was all set to do Sinful Color’s Beautiful Girl and a white konad stamp. I guess I succeeded in it being really girly because it came out too cutesy for me and I t0ok it off almost immediately. So instead I went with Sinful Color’s Sugar Sugar. I used Konad’s plate m57 for the fishnet pattern. Since we’re getting close to Valentine’s Day I thought I’d add the lip accent on my ring finger. I almost forgot to add that I added a french tip with Sinful Color’s Black on Black. I finished it off with two coats of Essie’s To Dry For, my favorite top coat.
