I think this is by far one of my favorite blues! As a birthday gift to my mom we went and got our nails done. I picked out this color…and of course the next day I was in line at Ulta buying a bottle. It has a little bit of teal and blue shimmer, a purple hue in some lights, I love it!!
I drove home during lunch on Thursday to pick up my dotting tools and red angel plates from my mailbox. So exciting! I wasn’t sure what to use first! I wasn’t even sure I was ready to give up my sunny yellow manicure yet! So I started by adding little dots to yesterday’s mani.
So much fun, I was suprised how well my right hand came out, considering I thought my left hand would be a wreak trying to apply the dots in a tidy manner.
I hung around with that for a while, but since my husband was out a concert the whole night I decided to change it up. Trying another Kleancolor polish I went with Pastel Blue.
This is three coats. And I gotta say I’m rethinking these Kleancolors every time a try a new one, they’re awesome!
I decide to use Reg Angel plate RA 106. Because it is such a crazy pattern I thought I’d use a color that was similar to my base. I bought Konad’s special stamping polish in a pastel blue and it hasn’t got a lot of use yet, but I figured it would be perfect for this.
Finished it off with Essie’s To Dry For.
Here are a few pics of the Red Angel image plates and the dotting tools.
Lately I’ve been on a sparkle kick…put that together with my Spoiled by Wet n’ Wild purchases and you get Deeper Dive. It’s a blue-teal jelly polish from the Spoiled collection. They really need to work on their names, I had a few different ones in my hand that I had to put back just because I couldn’t get past the name….”Pet my Peacock”….”Your fly’s Down”….”My Silicone Popped”?!?!? What, who, why?! Why?!? Everything I’ve been reading people have been complaining about the Spoiled brushs, I haven’t had a problem with any of them until Deeper Dive, I don’t know if it was because its a jelly and it’s darker…it was the only one to stain my nails…my cuticles…and my skin…not sure how much I’ll be using this one. Which is sad because It really is beautiful, another great one for the summer.
I’ve been getting so many new polishes, its hard to keep up! For today’s manicure I decided to go with Spoiled by Wet n’ Wild The Parking Meteor Expired…bit of a long-winded name. lol. It’s a black based polish with blue, green and purple shimmer built-in.
I love this color! I did about 2 coats, but it could be a one-coater. Instead of a stamped mani I decided to do a coat of Spoiled’s Jewelry Heist over it.
I added another polish to my collection on Friday, Sinful Color’s Nail Junkie…perfect name!
It’s a blue sparkle jelly polish with green, gold, blue sparkles. Here it is in the bottle, can’t wait to try it out!
I’ve been listening to Lana Del Ray’s album Born to Die none stop lately, and it inspired me to do a vintage-y nail design. I found a flowery design on Konad’s plate M 64. But I wanted to update it a little, so I decided to do a bright blue. I bought China Glaze Flyin’ High a few weeks ago and figured I’d give it a go.
I started off with two coats of Flyin’ High, it has a little more teal in it then I thought from looking at the bottle, but its still a beautiful color. I used Sally Hansen’s Blue It for the stamping.
I finished it off with two coats of Essies To Dry For.
